Greenhouse Heating Systems
From simple greenhouse air heating applications using our customized Lennox® LF series greenhouse heaters or Ermaf direct fired heaters to integrating Sial or BoilerSmith boilers with floor, bench, or under-bench heating delivery systems.

Sial brand unit heaters offer a full line of direct-fired and indirect (heat exchanger) greenhouse air heaters in efficiencies ranging from 89% to 99.9%.

Inputs range from 180,000 to 700,000 BTUH’s with fuel choices including Natural Gas, Liquid Propane, #2 oil, and even biodiesel.

Completely manufactured from stainless steel, these greenhouse heaters are optimized for the aggressive greenhouse heating environment and carry CSA approval stamps for North American installations.

Offered in two model series, the AirFlow and Mirage, all these units, even the largest 700,000 BTUH models are designed for suspended installation.
 
The TrueLeaf Greenhouse Benchwarmer Kit provides effective and economical bottom heat for germination, propagation, and growing. Place heat right where the plants need it!
Pre-wired controls make it possible for you to set the soil temperature your plants require using a sensor in a sample pot. The system will regulate the temperature with a pre-wired temperature control.

Energy efficient, effective, bottom heat uses conventional greenhouse hot water heaters. Install on or under the bench top or on the floor.

The concept of root zone heating in the commercial greenhouse was perfected during the 1980’s energy crisis by TrueLeaf, it remains current for today’s economy— heat just where you need it, at crop level.

This reduces your fuel use, increases your plant quality and speeds production.


Roll-N-Grow for benches
Heating a greenhouse floor area or a bench has never been easier! We offer our Roll-N-Grow mat systems in two styles, one optimized for bench application and one that’s just right for heated floors.

We’ve developed a special automated machine that mates our original BioTherm Microclimate tubing with “holding rails” spaced every 2’ on center. These rails, on 2” centers, are ideal for most general greenhouse bench heating applications. Other spacings are available for crops that might require more intense heat delivery.

We manufacture Roll-N-Grow for greenhouse benches in 2’ wide strips, and ship on UPS-sized rolls. Most growers install this material on the cross members of commercial greenhouse rolling benches before placing expanded metal on top.

You can also roll it out on existing growing surfaces of wood or other materials. Set plants directly on the mat, hook up the hot water lines (we design that part for you on a custom basis), and enjoy supreme growth and energy efficiency!

Like a carpet, your growing surfaces can now be covered with growth-enhancing gentle greenhouse heating in a fraction of the time it used to take, with almost none of the labor associated with traditional greenhouse heating bench top systems.

Roll-N-Grow for floors
We created a partnership with Ludwig Svensson, the largest textile manufacturer in the industry, to bring you this exciting product. BioTherm Microclimate tubes are woven directly into a “weed mat” fabric and shipped on a roll just like standard ground cover fabric. The BioTherm tubing is woven in on 3” centers, which provides optimum even greenhouse heating for gently warming crops like bedding, perennials in flats, or potted crops produced on the floor. This is the most cost effective and simple way to get warm floors in your greenhouse heat operation.

Installation is simple:
• Clean the area and bring in gravel for drainage (if necessary)
• Roll out the Roll-N-Grow for floors mat material
• Connect to pre-assembled header manifolds
• Connect manifolds to heat source using piping and system design provided by TrueLeaf
• Control the greenhouse heating system using the temperature of a sample flat or pot in each zone

This product is designed to withstand foot and cart traffic. It’s a great, cost-effective way to heat any floor area, without having to bring in costly concrete.

If installed properly, both of our Roll-N-Grow Mat systems can be rolled up when not in use! Think about seasonal production areas, outside beds or any growing application where temporary bottom greenhouse heat might be beneficial... your imagination is the only limiting factor!
