We believe that profitability in greenhouse and nursery
operations
is a direct result of how well the plants perform. This is
why we focus on creating precisely the best possible environment
for your plants to optimize their efficiency of growth. The
result is maximum profitability for you.
We believe in this concept so strongly that we’ve
coined the term “Plantcentric” and have gone
to the extent of trademarking it. When your TrueLeaf
environment system is engineered, we’re applying
Plantcentric concepts throughout the process. This is
an umbrella concept that ensures you will get the environment
system that is best for growing your plants and your
business.
Plantcentric Engineering is a unique approach to problem
solving that
delivers maximum value.

We take our work very seriously,
but we also believe that it should be fun. So, even though
all the “modules” of
our Plantcentric Tools are rock-solid engineering design
programs, we gave them names that make them more interesting…
Sheila— Our hot water heating design software
is amazing piece of software. With it, our experts can
create a computer-simulation of a working greenhouse,
and “play” with the many variables in how
best to heat it. Put in the dimensions and glazings,
and out comes a
complete heating design, parts bill and every thing!
Cherie— This is the program that we design Flood
Floors on. Just like Sheila, we can simulate many different
scenarios until we get the best
possible design done— specifically for your
application. She also creates complete parts and shopping
lists for even the largest of Flood Floor projects!

Maude— TrueLeaf is
one of the largest providers of control systems for greenhouses
in North America. Our success is, in large part, due
to the fact
that we make our control systems integrate so well with all the important elements
of the greenhouse… many provided
by us, and designed on our other modular design programs. Maude is a control
freak, but she gets along well with Sheila and Cherie. She provides complete
proposals for control systems and, for new construction,
line— voltage electrical distribution systems as well!
Jill— Jill designs our water management
systems. She is adept at putting together the best combination
of our modular water components. From filtration, to
UV sterilization, to irrigation
pre-heat, on through our TrueFeed injection
modules, Jill knows her way around water
systems and provides a comprehensive set of
solutions to your water management challenges.
Louie— Louie pitches in for designing and
specifying air heating and Co2 dosing jobs
where will use the Lennox LF24 units or Ermaf Gro-Power
direct-fired heaters. He’s a savvy system that
helps create excellent heating environments with a balanced
eye toward value and performance. If you need space heating
from unit heaters, let us unleash Louie on your needs… he’ll
provide a very comprehensive set of options and alternatives
that you probably won’t think of on your own.
TrueLeaf Technologies can deliver many other services
that are not attached to a system or product sale. These
services are aimed at helping you maximize your business
potential with the help of our respected staff experts.
Our fees are reasonable and we aim to deliver maximum
value in every challenge.
Project Planning Assistance:
Developing your project is tough work. Why
not do it with our help in your corner? Our staff is well-traveled and highly
qualified to help steer the specification of your next expansion or
renovation. Our experienced team members will challenge
you while assisting you in creating the best facility
for your budget.

Energy Auditing Service:
When the natural gas crisis hit in late 2000, we responded
to it by helping many growers track down the worst “fuel
guzzlers” in their operations.
We were amazed that some growers’ heating systems were less than 50%
efficient! Our own Jim Kramer developed unique software tools that give you
a comprehensive look at
this most important part of your overhead costs.

G.E.N.A. (Greenhouse Environment Needs Analysis):
Our comprehensive GENA service provides a way to get
a handle on the area of your business that affects
plant growth and quality the most— your greenhouse
environment. Using an interactive process at your site, we’ll help you
determine the best ways to invest to gain
efficiency, whether you are renovating or building new.
Give a call to Al Zylstra to schedule your personal
analysis appointment. This is a challenging day-long
process, but can yield huge benefits that will show up
on your bottom line for years. The result is a clear
report detailing our recommendations in the areas of
heating, cooling, irrigation,
fertigation, and climate control. This report will give
you a “road map” for improving your facilities...
